Character of the Week: Donovan Haslam

I would like to nominate Cadet Donovan Haslam for “Character of the Week” due to his extraordinary work during last week’s BBQ. There were many students who shined that day, but Donovan’s act of graciousness and sense of duty stood out among the pack. The class was called to the Bricks to help about thirty minutes before lunch last Wednesday and when it was time to head on over to the Dining Hall, Donovan remained behind to continue working and did so for most of his lunch period. That alone warrants being nominated for this award but what struck me even more was how he greeted everyone driving through during that hectic time. Donovan exuded loads of enthusiasm and genuine graciousness with his personal attention to each driver that he came into contact with. All I could think of is what a TERRIFIC ambassador Donovan is for GMC. Donovan most assuredly left an indelible mark for those folks who were most fortunate to have come into contact with him. I am extremely proud to have witnessed this young man’s strongest character traits on one of the most important days for our Bulldog Club. Maj. Leigh Scott Science Department
