Character of the Week: Justin Parham

Character of the Week: Justin Parham I would like to nominate Justin Parham for Character of the Week for the virtue of responsibility. Justin is a student in my math class and I have witnessed him on 2 separate occasions in the past 24 hours acting in a very responsible and mature manner. First, I saw him turn in a girl’s purse that was left unattended on a cafeteria table to MAJ Martin at the end of 5th period lunch. He expressed concern that there might be some valuable items in there that could get lost before the rightful owner realized it was missing. The next morning, he came to my classroom to turn in a classroom book that he had mistakenly put in his book bag. Justin apologized and was very concerned about making it clear to me that it was a mistake and not intentional. In the short time that I have had Justin in my class, I have been impressed by several of his characteristics that many times are not typical of a freshman. Besides the characteristics already mentioned, he is attentive, hard-working, always has a positive attitude and is helpful to others. He is truly deserving of this award!
