JROTC Leadership Camp

During the first week of June, 29 cadets from GMC Prep, along with over 200 cadets from other schools, attended the JROTC Cadet Challenge Leadership Camp at Ft. Gordon, GA. The cadets participated in a variety of activities designed to challenge them not only physically and mentally, but also to test their leadership skills. Some of the tasks they were required to accomplish included rappelling from a 75 foot tower, negotiating the obstacle course, land navigation, construction of a one rope bridge and water survival skills. GMC Prep Senior Army Instructor COL Robert Owens was very impressed with the way the cadets handled themselves, "Our cadets met or exceeded the standard on every challenge. They were put under a lot of stress and never complained. I'm very proud of them."
