Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer Curt Rauhut

BG Curt A. RauhutBrigadier General (Retired) Curt A. Rauhut is the Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Georgia Military College (GMC).

In his capacity as the EVP and COO, he is responsible for the daily operations and enrollment growth of all 15 GMC campuses throughout the state and is responsible for the oversight of the institution’s strategic planning. Under his direct purview includes the 14 GMC campuses and GMC's Global Online Campus, Information Technology Department, Engineering Department, Business Development, and GMC preparatory school.

Since his arrival in July 2014, three new campuses in Georgia have opened in Fayetteville, Dublin, and Eastman with enrollment increasing to almost 14,000 students, which equates to an 11% increase in the past year. Marketing of the college has been completely revamped with new branding techniques while enhancing and leveraging social media. Academic programs at GMC have also expanded.  GMC now has (24) associate level degrees by adding Cyber Security, Information Technology and Computer Science in the last twelve months.

Brigadier General Rauhut was commissioned as an Army Finance Officer from Jacksonville State University, Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) in 1984 with undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Military Science. He went on to earn an MBA in Comptrollership from Syracuse University and a MA degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. He served 30 years as a military Finance Corps officer, successfully leading financial management operations in complex domestic and international organizations. At one point in his career, he was also the Chief of Staff and Deputy Commander for the largest recruiting organization in the Army. 

His last assignment in the military culminated as the Director of Resource Management, Installation Management Command, where he led all aspects of financial operations of an $11 billion dollar annual budget which operated all 152 Army installations and activities across the globe.
