Built for your lifestyle

Want to change your career? Working during the day? Traditional college classes don't fit your busy lifestyle? Whatever the reason, Gwynedd After Hours is the right program for you.

Gwynedd After Hours is accelerated but not abbreviated. Most classes meet two times per week with some weekend classes also available. Accelerated courses begin at 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Courses are offered in 8 week sessions, with six sessions per year. Students can enroll in the program at the beginning of any of the six week sessions.

Students in the Gwynedd After Hours program cover the same curricula as our day students, with many of the same dedicated fulltime faculty. As an added advantage, the Gwynedd-Mercy College faculty consists of highly respected professionals. You can choose to pursue an associate or baccalureate degree on a full or part time basis. It's all about choices and flexibility.

Honoring What You Have Already Accomplished

Many students enrolled in our Gwynedd After Hours program enter with significant work experience, but lack a degree. Gwynedd-Mercy College recognizes your accomplishments and offers students the opportunity to earn college credit based on their knowledge and experience.

  • CLEP
    • The College Level Examination Program provides a standardized testing program for a variety of courses. Appropriate passing scores are determined by the College, and upon approval, credit is posted on the student's transcript.
  • Challenge Examination
    • Challenge examinations are given in the event that a CLEP examination is not available. The examinations may include written, oral, labratory tests or a combination of these; it will be comprehensive to establish that the student possesses essentially the equivalent knowledge and skills as that of a student who successfully completed the course.
  • Life Experience
    • Credit may be granted for life experience that parallels college level learning. The Vice President for Academic Affairs in conjunction with the dean will evaluate supporting documents. Decisions for granting credit are made on an individual basis. Thirty (30) credits must be earned at Gwynedd-Mercy College before credits for life experience are recorded.
