PACE - a year of transition - is for the International student who has a TOEFL (paper) over 525 or TOEFL (computer over 195) or 88 on the Michigan Test (administered on campus).

International students share their talents and their culture with the audience during International Night.

Students with satisfactory academic transcripts may enroll in entry level college courses with the approval of their advisor. If students lack any of the above, they will be sent to ESL classes until requirements are met.

The International Center for Understanding Cultures (ICUC) in the Waldron Student Center provides a comfortable lounge for social exchange, study and tutoring. The ICUC has a mini language lab, television, VCR, computer with Internet access, refrigerator and microwave.

Residence halls - open year round - cost $8,300 to $10,520 an academic year (fall and spring semesters) depending on location and meal plan chosen. Those choosing to stay for summer sessions pay for their dorm on a weekly basis. Meals are paid when eaten. In residence halls, kitchens have refrigerators and microwaves. All rooms have phones with Internet connection. There is 24-hour security service. Resident students can more easily participate in social and athletic activities. For international students, resident life is the road to adjustment to American culture.

THE STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN OFFERED BY THE COLLEGE IS MANDATORY. Students must also bring with them a personal record of vaccinations/immunizations, complete with dates.

The delicious selection of food from around the world is always popular at International Night.

Interested students should send:
1. Application with $50 non-refundable fee
2. Proof of financial resources to meet educational and living expenses
3. Students interested only in ESL do not need to send transcripts.
4. ESL program is open to high school students, 17 years and up
5. Students interested in pursuing college degrees must send transcripts from high schools and/or colleges attended. Transcripts should be converted in English, course by course, through World Education Services (www.wes.org).
