Q: How can I become a resident student?
A: After your housing deposit has been received by the Billing Office, a housing application packet will be sent to you. The application should be returned promptly in order to expedite the room assignment process.
Q: How are roommates assigned?
A: The information residents provide on their housing applications serve as the basis for matching roommates. Students may also request a specific person as a roommate.
Q: How and when will I know about my roommate and room assignment?
A. A mailing to all resident students will be sent out, providing the name, address and telephone number of your roommate(s). Also included in the mailing will be information regarding dates and times for moving in. Your room number, campus telephone number and mailbox number will be given to you upon arrival.
Q: Are room changes permitted?
A: Differences will arise between roommates. Our Resident Life staff is here to help you with any difficulties you might have. If a solution can not be found, room change requests may be made in the Office of Resident Life.

Q: Are bedding and linen services provided?
A: No. You will need to bring your own linens, pillows and blankets. Extra long twin sheets are recommended.
Q: Are laundry facilities available?
A: Yes. Laundry rooms with washers and dryers are conveniently located throughout the residence halls. They are provided at no cost to students.
Q: Is cable television available in student rooms?
A: Yes. Cable-ready rooms allow for students to subscribe with Comcast. Cable television is also available in student lounges.
Q: What kind of computer hook-ups are available?
A: All rooms are wired for each resident to have computer access through the campus network for Internet and email.
Q: Are the residence halls open during holidays and break periods?
A: No. The residence halls are closed during the following college-recognized breaks and holidays: Thanksgiving, Winter break, Spring break, and Easter. However, residents who live beyond a 300-mile radius of the College may request permission to stay during Thanksgiving and Easter breaks. (See your student handbook for specific dates.)
Q: Are residents permitted to keep a car on campus?
A: Yes. Residents are permitted to have a car on campus; however, parking is limited in front of the residence halls. Resident students wishing to park their vehicle in the residence hall lots must pay a fee and get a parking permit through the Office of Public Safety and Security.
Q: Do I need insurance to cover my belongings?
A: Valuable items should be insured against loss or damage. Residents may be covered via their family's home owner's or renter's insurance policy. Additional information may be obtained in the Office of Resident Life.

Q: What medical information is required for entering resident students?
A: Resident students must have a health and physical form completed and turned into the Campus Health Center by August 1. The immunization form is mandatory, and must be completed with the health & physical form. You WILL NOT be permitted to move into the residence halls if this form is not on file.
