Student Health Insurance Plan

All full-time under-graduate students and all international students are required to have medical health insurance.

Enrollment/Waiver Deadline: September 11, 2008
All students must either enroll or waive by the deadline.
Students who fail to complete the on-line process by
the September 11, 2008 deadline will not have an opportunity
to waive the coverage and will be billed the annual cost of $600 after this date.

Enrollment and Waiver Instructions

1. Log on to www.studentassist.com
2. Click on “Student/Parent Access”
3. Find Gwynedd-Mercy College in the drop down menu
4. Type in the school password 0658
5. Review the on-line brochure, if desired
6. Click on the waive/enroll section
7. Enter the policy number 08200658
8. Choose “Online Waiver” or “Online Enrollment
9. Complete all the required fields
10. Your submission will be confirmed with an email
      (please use your gmc email)

While there are no fees charged for visits to the Student Health Center, care by community providers such as x-ray, private physicians/ specialist, hospital emergency department visits or hospital admissions are subject to private payment or insurance coverage. It is very important that all students be covered by adequate health insurance.

Expenses associated with unexpected serious illness or injury can have a great impact on college financial plans if health insurance coverage is absent or inadequate.
