HELP PREVENT SWINE FLU

STUDENTS, please be aware of the symptoms of the H1N1 virus (the swine flu). In this letter to Gwynedd-Mercy College students, read tips on prevention, how it spreads, and what to do if you contract the virus.

PARENTS, please read this letter from Gwynedd-Mercy College regarding the H1N1 virus.

Refer to www.health.montcopa.org for updates on the swine flu. Please take the following precautions:

  • Wash your hands several times a day especially after you cough or sneeze
  • Sneeze into the crook of your arm, not into your hands
  • Use alcohol based products to clean your hands when soap & water are not readily available
  • Avoid sharing food and drinks with others
  • Keep your hands away from your eyes, mouth and nose
  • Dispose of soiled tissues in a trash receptacle, do not leave them on tables, desks, etc.
  • Report to the Campus Health Center immediately if you experience any flu-like symptoms
  • If you do not live on campus, please stay home if you have these symptoms and call your doctor
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick
