Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Cultural Events Series presents:

Carol Evans, soprano and David Bickle, baritone
“Songs of Love and Life” – 8:00 PM, Julia Ball Auditorium

Join our very own choir directors, Carol Evans and David Bickle for an evening of song featuring the works of Schumann, Mozart, and even works from the musical theatre repertoire.  Admission is free.

“The Colors of Christmas” – Preview Concert, 7:30 PM, Julia Ball Auditorium

“The Colors of Christmas” – Christmas Musicale, 8:00 PM, Julia Ball Auditorium

For this year’s annual Carol Nights, the Voices of Gwynedd will blend traditional carols, new Christmas music, and new renditions of old holiday favorites to form a palate of the many and varied shades of the Christmas season.  Be sure to stay after the concert for the live Nativity Scene and carol sing.  Admission is free.

“Vanqui” – 8:00 PM, Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, 3680 Walnut Street, Philadelphia, PA

Reprising their roles as the Opera Chorus for Vanqui, an opera by composer/flutist Leslie Burrs, the Voices are honored to present their premiere performance with the Philadelphia Opera Company.  While singing alongside myriad international opera stars, the Voices will tell the story of Vanqui and Prince, two escaped slaves searching for each other across the reaches of space and time.

Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Cultural Events Series presents:
Janet Peck and the N’Bonye Dance and Drum Ensemble – 8:00 PM, Julia Ball Auditorium

The N’Bonye' Dance and Drum ensemble will take you on an exciting journey as they sing, dance and drum their way through Africa! This journey is a magical mélange of a story-telling, audience participation, rhythm-making and dancing.  Admission is free.

Celebrate April Fool’s Day the way you should: by making fun of the GMC Faculty and Staff!  Our third installment of the Faculty Follies is bound to thrill and amaze...see the Education Faculty sing doo-wop like the girl groups of old – watch in horror as Carol Evans and Dave Bickle...dance?  Be sure and come early to participate in our auction with our own live (kind of) auctioneer!

Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem with the North Penn Symphony – 8:00 PM, Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 Valley Forge Rd, Lansdale, PA

Last year the Voices of Gwynedd successfully debuted with the North Penn Symphony, performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony – and this year they’ve been invited back for another choral masterpiece!  Verdi’s Requiem, a touchstone of the classical repertoire, is best described as one of the master’s greatest operas set to a religious text.  Don’t miss this wonderful concert opportunity!

Susan B. Komen “Race for the Cure” – Opening Ceremonies - Philadelphia Art Museum

The Voices will once again be assisting in the fight against breast cancer by opening the ceremonies for the Susan B. Komen “Race for the Cure” with their music.  Be sure to join us in this noble effort to conquer breast cancer on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum.

“Egypt’s Nights” – TBA, Trinity Center, 22nd and Spruce Streets, Philadelphia, PA

This premier performance of composer/flutist Leslie Burrs’ newest opera, “Egypt’s Nights” is the latest collaboration between the Voices of Gwynedd and Opera North, Inc.
