The Gwynedd-Mercy College Dance Team
 About the Team:
The Dance Team is a group of energetic students who prepare and perform dance routines at GMC sporting events, particularly basketball games.
The members of the Dance Team also participate in community service activities and assist with events/programs sponsored by campus or other campus organizations. Additionally, each year the team fundraises to purchase their uniforms and warm ups. Some of their fundraisers include working as security for the Philadelphia Eagles games at Lincoln Financial
Field, as well as selling candy, T-shirts and sweatshirts. This year
they are raising money to go to their fourth National Competition in the spring. Two years ago, they took first place at the National Reach the Beach Competition in Ocean City, MD. For additional information, contact Michele Diehl at diehl.m@gmc.edu.

The Team won 1st place in the College Dance Open Variety Division.

Did you know?
The Gwynedd-Mercy College Dance Team holds Dancing with the Griffins every year. A member of the Dance Team selects a partner from a club or sport. Dances include the jive, salsa and the waltz. The winning team gets a coveted mirror ball trophy.
