LOCAL STUDENT WINS AWARD AT GRADUATION

Gwynedd Valley, Pa. (May 21, 2009) – The recipient of Gwynedd-Mercy College’s Outstanding Student Leadership Award for 2009 is Francesca Catalano, a resident of Warminster and history major in the School of Arts and Sciences. The award was presented to Catalano for her exemplary leadership and service to the College and to fellow students during her four years at GMC. She served on executive council for the Student Government Association, the Student Activities Committee and multiple task forces, served as an Orientation Leader, a member of the Mission and Values Committee, and participated in Alternative Spring Break. Making her own history on campus, she plans to become a history teacher after graduation.
