GMC dedicates a week of activities to Martin Luther King, Jr.

Monday, Jan. 17 to Friday, Jan. 21

Every year, Gwynedd-Mercy College plans discussions, events and service activities to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. This year, however, the celebration will span over the course of the entire week, allowing more time to reflect on Dr. King's lasting impact on our society.

Presentations, discussions, service activities, performances, and more will bring students, faculty and staff together to exchange views on issues that Dr. King brought to light.

This year, an emphasis will be placed on the theme of bullying, violence and bigotry. The college community will have the opportunity to complete a survey regarding these critical social concerns. Many of the week's events will continue the conversation, reflecting on Dr. King's call for justice, equality and non-violence.
