Ways to Give

There are many different ways to make a gift to Gwynedd-Mercy College:

Gifts of Cash (payable by cash, check or credit card)

Gifts of cash are receipted to the proper fund and are deposited daily. Acknowledgements will be mailed to the donor within one week of receiving the gift. Matching gifts from employers are credited to the donor for giving club recognition. Checks should be made payable to: Gwynedd-Mercy College.

Gifts of Securities

Contributions received in the form of stock certificates are processed for sale. The stock is valued at the market value at the date of receipt if received in the name of the College or at the market value of the stock at the date it is registered in the name of the College. For accounting purposes, the difference between the value of the stock initially recorded and the value when sold is recorded as a gain or loss to the College's accounts, not to the gift account.

Procedures
Donors wishing to donate stock to Gwynedd-Mercy College should be instructed to have their broker transfer the stock to the name Gwynedd-Mercy College and transmit to our broker:
