ENDOWMENT

The Gwynedd-Mercy College Futures Campaign strives to build upon the College's $10 million endowment to increase the number of endowed scholarships, faculty support and program support. These interlocking goals will propel the College into a more competitive position in the Philadelphia area.

A large endowment enables capable, eager students to attain a college education even when their families cannot afford tuition and other costs. Many of Gwynedd-Mercy College's students are the first in their families to achieve a college degree partly because of the financial help they receive from scholarships. There is an ongoing importance of generating named and endowed scholarships as a means of making a college education affordable and providing access to our growing student population. The Campaign will also enable the development of graduate fellowships as well as undergraduate internships, research grants and awards.

Endowed chairs and professorships are among the most important next steps in attracting and retaining faculty for the future. Faculty endowments create a stable and dependable source of income for teaching, research, travel and service.

The College is also seeking support for existing programs in specialty areas like math and science, technology and special education.
