Student Health Insurance

All full-time undergrad and international students are required to carry health insurance. If a student is not otherwise insured, the College has arranged for basic coverage. A fee for this coverage will be assessed to all full time students. This fee will be waived upon presentation of proof of insurance to the College's Insurance Carrier. In order for the fee to be waived, proof of personal insurance must be received before the hard waiver deadline established each year. Waivers do not apply to international students. College policy requires international students have more than basic coverage. The annual cost of student health insurance for all international students will be higher than the published basic premium price. Students who fail to meet the deadline are automatically covered and charged for insurance. Information about the Health Insurance Plan may be obtained from the Office of Student Affairs. Please use the link below to waive or enroll for student health insurace for the fall of 2008. All waivers must be completed no later than September 11th. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS after this date.

Enrollment and Waiver Instructions

1. Log on to www.studentassist.com
2. Click on “Student/Parent Access”
3. Find Gwynedd-Mercy College in the drop down menu
4. Type in the school password 0658
5. Review the on-line brochure, if desired
6. Click on the waive/enroll section
7. Enter the policy number 08200658
8. Choose “Online Waiver” or “Online Enrollment
9. Complete all the required fields
10. Your submission will be confirmed with an email
