Tuition/Fees
Payment Policy:
Tuition payments are due prior to the start of the Fall and Spring academic semesters and at time of registration for all Summer semester classes. Payments are accepted by mail, in person (Campbell Hall), or online. Gwynedd-Mercy College accepts cash, checks, money orders, and credit cards. Make all checks/money orders payable to Gwynedd-Mercy College. The Bursar’s office will honor Master Card, VISA, and Discover with a minimum payment of $10.00.
All fees and tuition must be paid before a student can obtain a valid ID for the semester.
Resident Students Please Note: Room lottery deposits and room reservation deposits will not be accepted or processed for any student that has an outstanding balance on his/her student account.
Students are not permitted to register for the next semester unless all outstanding debts, e.g., tuition, library fines, etc., are resolved. All debts must be resolved prior to registration and before graduation REGARDLESS OF PENDING FINANCIAL AID. Diplomas and transcripts will not be issued to any student with an outstanding debt.
Payment Plan:
As a service to our students and their families, a tuition payment plan is available. The plan is administered by Sallie Mae. For information on the payment plan, please contact Sallie Mae at 1-800-531-4300 or visit (www.tuitionpayenroll.com). The College does not offer any payment plan other than Tuition Pay through Sallie Mae.
Delinquent Accounts:
A student who is financially delinquent shall forfeit the privilege of attending classes, and the College will withhold grades, transcripts, and diploma/certificate until such indebtness is paid. Pending Financial Aid is not considered payment. Student accounts that are not resolved by the end of a semester will be placed with a collection agency. The student will be responsible for the full amount due to the College plus all associated collection and legal costs.
By employer reimbursement:
Students who are reimbursed by an employer may be eligible to receive an extension for payment of a portion of the amount due. Prior to registration, a copy of the employer's policy and a statement from the employer stating the student's eligibility must be furnished to the Bursar's Office. Ten percent (10%) of the tuition is then required at the registration, and the balance is due prior to the end of class/classes. For summer classes, tuition is payable in full at time of registration.
Payment Receipt:
The cancelled check is proof of tuition payment. However, if additional proof of payment is necessary, a receipt can be requested from the Bursar's Office located in Campbell Hall.
In view of rising costs, Gwynedd-Mercy College reserves the right to increase charges at any time and to make such changes applicable to students presently enrolled as well as to new students.
