Who she works with: Michele works with students interested in The School of Arts and Sciences. The majors included in this subject area are Biology, Mathematics, English, History, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice and Gerontology. Michele will advise students that the College offers secondary education options in Biology, Mathematics, English and History.

So you think you can dance? If you do, feel free to contact Michele because she is one of the moderators of the Gwynedd-Mercy College Dance Team. This group performs at College basketball games and has performed at Philadelphia 76ers games.

Fun Facts about Michele:

•  She enjoys traveling, and her favorite destinations include: London, Paris, Boston and Las Vegas.
•  Her favorite TV shows include Heroes, Prison Break and Grey's Anatomy.
•  She is a Gwynedd-Mercy College graduate and was a member of the following clubs: Student Government, Student Activities Committee, Sigma Phi Sigma (National Mercy Honors Society) and the student newspaper, The Gwynmercian.
•  Last but not least, she is a huge Philadelphia Eagles Fan.

Who he works with: Gus works with students who are interested in either an associate's or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Computer Information Sciences. He will also assist all students looking to pursue a bachelor's degree in Business Education, which is an exciting and growing program (Call him to learn more!). Gus also serves as the liaison to the Athletics Office for all student-athlete related applications and inquiries.

Gus was also directly involved in the creation of GMC's Baseball team and has served as the Assistant Head Coach since its inception in 1999.

Fun Facts about Gus:

•  Gus stated that his hobbies are “Relaxing when I am not busy” and “Watching a competitive sporting event on television.”
•  When there are no competitive sporting events on television, Gus enjoys watching The Shield, The Wire, 24, Entourage and all of the Law and Order series.

Who she works with: JeNell works with students interested in the School of Nursing. Degrees offered within this program include an Associate of Science in Nursing (RN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing.  She is available to assist students in understanding the inner-workings of all programs, their requirements and highlights of each.

Besides being a liaison between students and the School of Nursing, JeNell is involved with the Academic Scholarship Committee, which awards GMC's top scholarships: Presidential Scholarship and Dean's Scholarship. She is also involved with the Black Student Union, serving as the advisor. If you have any questions about the Academic Scholarship process or the Black Student Union, please do not hesitate to contact her.

Fun Facts about JeNell:

•  She enjoys community outreach activities through various urban-based missions, and loves working with youth in various capacities, especially as a mentor.
•  She is a Gwynedd-Mercy College alumnus, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
•  She was (and still is) involved in the following clubs: Student Government, Sigma Phi Sigma (National Mercy Honors Society), Resident Hall Council, Black Student Union, Resident Assistants, Psychology Club.
•  She is currently a graduate student at GMC, studying School Counseling.

Who she works with: Gina works with students who are interested in our School of Education at the undergraduate level. In our School of Education, there is one major offered - a triple certification in Early Childhood, Elementary and Special Education. Under this new curriculum, students will be qualified to sit for all three praxis exams.

Fun Facts about Gina:

•  She is a Gwynedd-Mercy College graduate who was a member of the of the Women's Basketball team for four years, and captain of the team her senior year.
•  She currently is an assistant coach for our Women’s Basketball team here at GMC.
•  Her favorite TV shows include Grey's Anatomy and House.

Who she works with: Christine works with students interested in Allied Health Programs, including: Respiratory Care, Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Technology, Cardiovascular Technology and Health Information Technology.  She also works with our Bachelor of Health Science Programs for working health care professionals.

Fun facts about Christine:

  • Christine is a graduate of Temple University, where she studied Communications & Public Relations.
  • Christine was a member of the Temple University Women's Soccer Team and served as team captain her senior year.
  • Christine enjoys weekends down the shore, Thursday night TV (Grey's Anatomy and The Office) and coffee!

A little about her: Tina is a 2005 graduate of Gwynedd-Mercy College's Psychology program.  During her undergraduate career, Tina was a member of Residence Hall Council (RHC), Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), Sigma Phi Sigma, the Honors program and was a Resident Assistant.  Currently, Tina is pursuing her graduate degree in GMC's School Counseling program.

 

Fun Facts about Tina:

  • Tina is a volunteer sexual assault counselor at a local non-profit agency.
  • She went to her first concert last summer to see Dave Matthews Band.
  • At 9 P.M. on Sunday night, you will find Tina watching Desperate Housewives.
  • Currently, Tina has been listening to these artists on her iPod: The Fray, Beyonce, Nelly Furtado and Nickelback.

    A little about her: Mary is one of the first people you will come in contact with at Gwynedd-Mercy College as you begin your college search. She will be glad to send you necessary materials for matriculation including an application and general information about the College.

    In addition to supporting the Director of Admissions and counseling staff, Mary is available to answer any questions pertaining to the admissions process.     •  Mary graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy College in 1997 with a B.A. in English.
    •  Mary is in her 18th year at the College.
    •  She is the mother of 11 children and grandmother of 29 children.
    •  Reading has always been one of Mary's favorite things to do.
