Yellow Ribbon Program: Free Tuition for Veterans

Students with veterans benefits can receive a fully paid education at Gwynedd-Mercy College.

Service members who have served on active duty for 90 or more days since Sept. 10, 2001 can receive education benefits through the “Post 9/11 GI Bill,” which went into effect on August 1, 2009. Dependents and spouses of veterans may also be eligible for these benefits.

Candidates are encouraged to apply for the Bill, sending applications to the Department of Veterans Affairs. You can even apply online at www.gibill.va.gov.

Once eligibility is determined by the VA, students who are enrolled at Gwynedd-Mercy College may receive the following from the VA:

  • Up to $934 per credit in tuition
  • College fees paid
  • Living stipend
  • Book money

Gwynedd-Mercy College has agreed to help cover the remaining tuition expenses for full-time students through the Yellow Ribbon Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to an unlimited number of students.
