» Financial Aid & Scholarships

Federal Work-Study (FW-S) is a federally supported employment program through which students are offered jobs to help meet college expenses. Eligibility is contingent on Financial Need as determined by the U.S. Department of Education. Your Financial Aid Award Letter may indicate whether you are eligible for FW-S. The starting rate for all GMC students is $6.25 per hour. Money earned through FW-S is paid by direct deposit to the student twice monthly. The FW-S shown on your Financial Aid Award Letter may NOT be deducted from your account.

Job placement is made on the basis of your qualifications and every effort is made to hire students to areas related to their college majors. Jobs are assigned on a first-come, first served basis. The Federal Work-Study program is limited by federal government funding, therefore the college cannot guarantee a job or total earnings as awarded.

If you have any questions about the Federal Work-Study program, visit the Financial Aid Office located in Campbell Hall.
