Michele Diehl

Michele Diehl '00, MBA
Director of Undergraduate Admissions
phone: 1-800-DIAL GMC email: diehl.m@gmc.edu
Meet Michele

Michele holds a Master of Business Administration degree from La Salle University. Michele graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy College with a Bachelor degree in English, Concentration Media and Honors in Liberal Studies. As a student, Michele was an active member of the college community and believes that students should take advantage of co-curricular activities throughout their collegiate life. And, at GMC, these opportunities are plentiful. In fact, Michele currently serves as the Advisor of the Gwynedd-Mercy College Dance Team. Michele’s best piece of advice to prospective students, “during a campus visit, many students will get that ‘gut’ feeling that a certain college is where they are supposed to go. Follow this feeling.”

Favorite Quote: “Winners forget they're in a race, they just love to run.” —Joe Pesci, With Honors

Favorite Thing About GMC: The Sisters of Mercy create a family atmosphere on campus that holds true to their founding. At Gwynedd Mercy College students are provided a well rounded education in fields aimed at the betterment of society. As a student and employee at GMC, I continue to learn and appreciate our uniqueness. Every day here feels like a blessing.

Favorite Admissions Tip: Narrow down your college selection to only a few schools and explore those schools as best you can. Visit them, do an overnight stay, take a tour, and talk with current students to get a true feel for your compatibility with that school. Every school does their best to look good on paper, but deciding which one is best for you is a very personal decision. A brochure or website can only be a starting point. Placing yourself on that campus will give you the best picture of what it’ll be like as a student.

Favorite Thing About GMC: The opportunities GMC affords our students. At Gwynedd-Mercy, we all work towards making our students successful, both academically and in life. From disciplines in the health sciences to the liberal arts, we cultivate our students to become well-rounded citizens — those who can successfully graduate from one of our many majors and give back to the communities in which they will live and work.

Favorite Admissions Tip: Be proactive in your college search. While you may gain advice from your guidance counselors and family, it is ultimately up to you to find out which school is best for you. Just like a fingerprint, no two schools are alike; it is your job to find those colleges and universities that will fit your personality and allow you to flourish in its environment.
