Congratulations!
You’ve been accepted to Gwynedd-Mercy College.
Follow these steps to become a GMC student.
Deposit
Submit a tuition deposit of $125 ($500 if you have been accepted to our weekend nursing program) by May 1, 2010 for fall 2010 applicants or as soon as possible for spring applicants. If you are interested in on-campus housing, an additional $250 housing deposit must be submitted.

An information packet on housing will be sent soon after you receive your acceptance letter, but below are the application, contract, and quiet lifestyle agreement. Housing applications received from fall 2010 applicants before May 1, 2010 will receive priority consideration.

Apply for Financial Aid
If you plan to apply for financial aid you should complete the 2010-2011 Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible after January 1, 2010. It is helpful to have your 2009 Federal Tax Return completed before completing the FAFSA. If this is not possible, provide your best estimate of 2009 financial data. The FAFSA may be completed on-line at www.fafsa.ed.gov . Gwynedd-Mercy’s Financial Aid Application is found on page 5 of the Admissions Application or you can click on this link, http://www.gmc.edu/admissions/financialaid/applyonline.php . The completed application should be submitted to the Financial Aid Office, 1325 Sumneytown Pike, P.O. Box 901, Gwynedd Valley, PA 19437-0901. Gwynedd-Mercy’s priority filing date is March 15, 2010. Applications are, however, received on a rolling basis.
Take Your Placement Assessment
As part of the admissions process you must take an English and math placement test before you can register for classes. The results of the test will assist you and your advisor in scheduling and registering for required English and math classes.
You do not need to take the English Placement Assessment if you:
- Attained a score of at least three (3) on the Advanced Placement English exam in high school, or
- Received an SAT critical reading score of 650 or more, or
- Successfully completed a College English course (with a grade C or better)
You do not need to take the Math Placement Assessment if you:
- Attained a score of at least three (3) on the Advanced Placement calculus or statistics exams in high school, or
- Received an SAT math score of 650 or more, or
- Successfully completed a college level math course (with a grade C or better)

Register for Classes
If you are a fall 2010 applicant, the process will begin in April 2010.
Obtain your Student ID Card
Students are required to have a Student ID Card. Photos are taken at the Campbell Solution Center any time Mon – Thursday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m., or Friday, 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m. If you are on campus feel free to stop by to have your picture taken and avoid the lines the first week of the semester. Obtain your Parking Pass
Any student who parks a car on campus must purchase a hangtag parking decal. Parking decals can be purchased at the Campbell Solution Center. Parking hangtags cost $30 for Commuter Students and $60 for Resident Students for the academic year. Please click here to access the form. You may mail your application and check in over the summer. Applications received by 8/20/10 will be mailed to your home address all others may be picked up at the Campbell Solution Center.
