Parents of Dorian Owens - Class of 2006

Our son attended Gwynedd-Mercy College for four years (three of which he lived on campus as a resident student). The community of Gwynedd-Mercy provided numerous activities for him to be involved in. When we would go to visit Dorian, as soon as we walked onto his floor at the residence hall, we noticed all of the doors were open. Every time Dorian would pass by one of these doors we would hear people saying hello to him.

We were very content with the Computer Science program in which Dorian enrolled. The professors made it their goal to help him graduate in four years with as much knowledge as possible. During his senior year, he took part in the cooperative study program, which allows students to apply their knowledge from the classroom in a real world environment by working for a professional organization or company. Because of this program, Dorian was eventually hired by the company as a full-time employee before he graduated. The thing that impressed us the most was how much our son matured after going through college. He became a young man who has great social skills and work ethic.
