Wade Luquet, PhD, MSW Tulane University 1982; PhD The Union Institute, 2000

Dr. Luquet is an associate professor of sociology and human services in the Behavioral and Social Sciences division at Gwynedd-Mercy College. He teaches courses in sociology, marriage and family, human services, and the history and culture of New Orleans. He is the director of the Institute for New Orleans History and Culture at Gwynedd-Mercy College. Dr. Luquet is the author of Short-Term Couples Therapy: The Imago Model in Action (1996, 2006 2nd ed, Routledge) and co-editor of Healing in the Relational Paradigm: The Imago Relationship Therapy Casebook (1998, Routledge) and Imago Relationship Therapy: Perspectives on Theory (2005, Jossey-Bass). He has also published numerous journal articles and book chapters on couples therapy, social work, teaching methods, and the culture of New Orleans. Dr. Luquet is on the editorial advisory board of Zeig-Tucker Publishers and is often called upon to review manuscripts by various publishers in the professional field. He is the past co-editor of the Journal of Imago Relationship Therapy and has served on the editorial review board of several journals including the Journal of Clinical Activities, Assignments, and Handouts in Psychotherapy Practice and The Journal of Baccalaureate Social Work.
