We have gone mobile with the Computer Information Science curriculum at Gwynedd-Mercy College. Our exciting cutting-edge curriculum is based on the latest technologies in the industry, and is one of the first schools in southeastern Pennsylvania to add mobile applications development as part of the core curriculum! Our program focuses on several key areas: providing a solid foundation in problem-solving, programming and mathematical skills while also giving students hands-on experience in state-of-the-art tools used in industry today. Our goal is to prepare competent computer professionals ready to enter the workforce upon graduation. Additionally, the CIS program at GMC now contains Professional Options where students can combine concentrations in Computer Forensics, Web Design & Multimedia, or Business (pre-MBA), with their Computer Information Science degree. This allows students to have a more concentrated program of study by focusing on a particular career path within the field of computer information science, making the student more marketable when competing for jobs in their chosen industry upon graduation. Students also have the opportunity to study abroad for a semester, earning college credits and learning about the culture of the chosen country and the global workforce.
Computer Forensics Professional Option is hot! Fall 2012 - CIS240 CYBERCRIME Students will learn about crime and threats law enforcement face on a daily basis in cyberspace.
