Gwynedd-Mercy College’s School of Arts and Sciences Behavioral and Social Sciences Division welcomes applications for a full-time tenure-track assistant professor in Psychology, starting August 2009.

The program seeks a generalist with an ability to teach a range of courses including counseling, developmental psychology, biopsychology and a departmental interdisciplinary course, Society and Global Diversity. Experience in counseling/clinical work is a plus. Responsibilities include advising students, oversight of Psychology Club and Psi Chi chapter, and participating in service to the department and the College. Qualifications include a PhD in Psychology, evidence of teaching excellence, potential for scholarly activity, ability to incorporate technology into teaching, and ability to work collaboratively.

Preliminary interviews with qualified applicants will be conducted at the National Institute on the Teaching of Psychology Conference, St. Pete Beach, FL. in January 2009 and potentially at the Eastern Psychological Association conference, Pittsburgh, PA in March 2009.
