Responsibilities:        

  • Routes incoming and outgoing mail, faxes and electronic mail for the Office of Admissions
  • Answers telephone and gives information to callers or routes call to the appropriate office.
  • Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business, and directs visitors to appropriate office
  • Inputs application and inquiry data to Enrollment Management database.
  • Organizes and tracks new applications, checking for transcripts, SAT scores, and other necessary documents.
  • Files correspondence, transcripts, and other records
  • Keys transfer evaluations in MS Word.
  • Maintains inventory of admissions fulfillment materials and assists in the coordination of direct mailing operations.
  • Orders promotional materials that are needed for Enrollment Management events.
  • Supervises and trains Work Study students.
  • Provides backup for producing letters to potential students using MS Word Mail Merge and Admissions database.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to use a computer to enter and retrieve data; familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet and database management; ability to use a typewriter and calculator.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of students or employees of organization.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with others.
