Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing and maintaining security and privacy for all systems and users, identity management, enterprise systems integration, middleware development, application development, Web portal, Web content management, digital asset management and managing enterprise security and security systems for the college.

Is also responsible for research and developing identity management and data standards. Attends conferences and training, and interacts with external peers as required to maintain knowledge of current issues and best practices. Must maintain a very broad understanding of Gwynedd-Mercy College’s current technical environment, as well as an understanding of where strategic plans and tactical activities might change that environment and subsequently affect the security climate. Must maintain an excellent understanding of security policies, industry best practices, and exposures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum master ’s degree in computer science or related or equivalent field or related experience and at least five years of related or similar experience/training.
- Experience with information and personal privacy issues (educational records privacy specifically), copyright and software piracy law, development of press releases and other media interactions, IS audit and control issues, and research techniques are all very highly desirable. Security certifications desired.
- Affiliation or experience with government agencies, (FBI, CIA, Homeland Security) and understanding of legislation and security law is favorable.
- Experience directly managing technologies, staff, and budget in support of research computing, student computing, college and university administration computing, and/or telecommunications are desirable
- Limited Criminal Histories (LCH) checks will be required for all finalists.
