Position:                                  Alcohol and Other Drug Education Counselor

Organizational Unit:               Student Services Division

Reports To:                            Director of Counseling Services

Available Date:                      August 2008

Status:                                    Part-time Staff

Qualifications:                       

Qualified candidates will have a bachelors’ degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field and a minimum of two years alcohol and other drug counseling experience.  A masters’ degree preferred.  The candidate will be able to implement assessment and data collection and advise administration on alcohol and other drug issues; coordinate campus-community coalition meetings; provide alcohol and other drug counseling and education.  The candidate must possess effective communication skills and be able to interact effectively with other professionals in the field.  A willingness to commit to the mission and values of Gwynedd-Mercy College is imperative.
