The Office of Institutional Research & Assessment (IR) supports the mission of Gwynedd-Mercy College (GMC) by presenting thorough and representative reporting for all college stakeholders, judiciously uses data to demonstrate that GMC is achieving its mission and objectives, and supports sustainable institutional improvement. IR is responsible for serving as the data resource for external reports and statistical data including government and accrediting agencies, professional organizations, and for educational guides and directories.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Data warehouse creation and maintenance for external and ad hoc reporting
- Completion of a large listing of external surveys including IPEDS, NSSE, US News, Peterson's, AAUP, CUPA-HR, MSCHE-IP, AICUP, and Pennsylvania Dept. of Education
- Annual assessment coordination for academic and administrative units at GMC
- Participation in the management and assessment of GMC's strategic plan
- Participation in the planning and reporting for regional and discipline-specific accreditation
- Consultation for all GMC departments, individual faculty, and staff members in the implementation of data accountability best practices
